Find out more about us. We are the Coastal Junior Roller Derby and we are the Sunshine Coast’s premier, member-owned and operated roller derby league for kids 7 to 17 both boys and girls. Our goal is to maintain a competitive athletic program. To promote the sport of junior roller derby.
We want to provide quality sports entertainment for our family, friends and fans. We also want to make a positive impact in our community.
Coastal Junior Roller Derby is run by volunteers made up of our Mums and Dads. Lots of them play roller derby too.
Individuality
We want to have a league of good friends with roller derby in common. Somewhere where no bullying happens and you can be yourself or your “other self” if you prefer.
We all have our own derby names and numbers. We get together a couple times a week to have some fun. We train hard and bout harder.
But most of all we all get along and have an awesome time. Wouldn’t it be great if you could come along and learn about us too?
Safety is Important
Don’t be too worried about it being rough on the smaller kids. We have different levels of contact depending on how old you are and how big you are. We all wear approved safety gear like helmets and mouth guards and knee and elbow guards too.
And if you don’t want to play, we have a spot for you too. We have officials that don’t skate and we can always do with helpers too.

We are lucky enough to be able to train at the YMCA Building in Caloundra.
